Communication is often cited as the number one problem in a relationship. Pengenalan proses produksi televisi adalah bagian dari mata kuliah Pengantar Ilmu Jurnalistik, terutama yang berkenaan dengan materi pengantar Jurnalistik Televisi. Tadinya saya sudah memikirkan bagaimana teknisnya mengajak para mahasiswa ke sebuah stasiun televisi lokal yang ada di Bandung. Tapi… Alhamdulillah, selalu ada jalan bagi para mahasiswa soleh (Amiiin), terutama Jurusan KPI (Komunikasi Penyiaran Islam) semester III, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati.

Singkat ceritanya, crew “Balada Sang Bintang” Trans TV memerlukan pengambilan gambar adegan di dalam kelas. Pada episode tersebut, menceritakan perjalanan “Sang Bintang” tokoh pelawak Sunda Bah Us-us. Dulu, memang Bah Us-us pernah kuliah di Fakultas Hukum UNPAS. Jadi, dalam napak tilas inipun, beliau mau menampilkan cerita “kuliah” lagi. Dalam adegan tersebut, tentu Bah Us-us memerlukan lawan main seorang dosen dan para mahasiswa. Namun, cerita itu harus realistis. Terutama mahasiswanya. Di Unpas, tidak semua mahasiswi mengenakan kerudung. Sedangkan di Jurusan KPI, semua akhwat pasti berkerudung. Sangat tidak mungkin menyuruh beberapa orang mahasiswi KPI membuka kerudung. Jadi, solusinya, saya mengontak Apriliyanti, mahasiswi Fikom Unpad untuk bergabung sementara di dalam kelas. April sehari-harinya belum mengenakan kerudung. Ingat ya, BELUM. Jadi, ada harapan esok-lusa April pun berkerudung. Selain itu, Apip Chatrix pun mengajak Melly, aktivis PPSS (Paguyuban Panglawungan Sastra Sunda). Melly juga belum berkerudung meski hampir semua aktivis PPSS berjilbab.

Nah, dengan begitu, bisa nampak realistis. Dan saya pun harus memerankan dosen seorang ilmu hukum, tidak sebagai pengajar “Pengantar Ilmu Jurnalistik”.

“Ini dosen beneran?” tanya Krisna, presenter ‘Balada Sang Bintang’.

“Beneraaan!!!” para mahasiswa yang serentak menjawab, sebelum saya menjawabnya. Hanya sempat tersenyum sambil memikirkan materi kuliah untuk mahasiswa Fakultas Hukum. Tadinya sempat terbesit untuk menukar peran dengan dengan Andri Hardiansyah, yang tampangnya mungkin lebih meyakinkan jika memerankan tokoh dosen (Mas Prawoto Soeboer Rahardjo, sutradara terkemuka di Jakarta, pernah berkomentar tentang Andri: “Dia itu cakep kan, pasti bisa kalau jadi pemain, tinggal rambutnya aja yang diatur-atur”). Saya, sudah jelas, lebih enjoy menjadi pemeran tokoh antagonis. Atau apa mungkin memanggil Pak Enjang A.S. saja yang memerankannya, biar ada kumisnya. Tapi tidak ada waktu lagi, lagipula Pak Enjang sedang berdinas di luar kampus.

Wah, ternyata para mahasiswa KPI bisa diajak bermain acting meski belum pernah diajari seni peran. Bahkan tampak lebih natural, tidak terkesan dibuat-buat. Bah Us-us pun terlihat bisa bermain dengan enjoy bersama para mahasiswa KPI. Beracting itu memang harus wajar dan natural. Meski kita memerankan tokoh yang telah diatur oleh skenario, tetapi dalam beracting harus tetap memperlihatkan kewajaran dan natural. Hilangkan segala bentuk ambisi. Misalnya dalam hati tiba-tiba berkata “Ini kesempatan yang tidak boleh dilewatkan! Aku harus menonjol dalam setiap scene!” Nah, itulah penyakit yang berbahaya bagi seorang aktor. Sebab, tidak semua scene menjadi milik kita.

Untuk lebih memperkaya dalam memerankan tokoh, perlu mempelajari sosok dan sisik. Bukan karakter, tapi sosok. Lalu, apa yang dimaksud sisik? Contoh, ketika melukis ikan hiu, maka bayangan kita akan tertuju pada ikan hiu yang besar dan ganas, meski ukuran gambarnya kecil. Tapi, kalau saya tambahkan dengan sisik pada lukisan ikan hiu tersebut, maka hilanglah bayangan tentang kegagahan ikan hiu. Otomatis, kita akan membayangkan ikan kecil yang tidak ada apa-apanya. Jadi, untuk mewujudkan sosok, perlu melengkapinya dengan sisik yang sesuai. Sosok seorang polisi akan berbeda sisiknya dengan sosok seorang dokter. Bentuklah sisik sesuai dengan sosoknya. Jika tidak nyekrup, maka sosok yang diharapkan itu tidak akan tercapai.

Nah, jadi, yang terpenting, saya tidak usah berpikir lagi untuk ngabringkeun anak-anak mahasiswa ke stasiun televisi. Sebab crew “Balada Sang Bintang” yang justru berkenan memasuki kelas Jurusan KPI. Bukan hanya menyaksikan sebuah proses, melainkan turut terlibat di dalamnya, terlepas dari besar atau kecil keterlibatannya tersebut. Selain itu, para mahasiswa pun punya kesempatan untuk berinteraksi secara langsung dengan pelawak Sunda yang icikibung di pentas nasional. Hasilnya? Yaaa… kita lihat saja bareng-bareng, kabarnya akan ditayangkan di layar TransTV, 4 Desember 2008, Jam 10.30 WIB. Thank’s to Krisna and the crew “Balada Sang Bintang” TransTV.***
